#ShareTheMicInCyber Round 4

Cybersecurity Awareness Month

Theme: Public-Private Partnerships

October 22, 2021

This Cybersecurity Awareness Month participants will focus on their #ShareTheMicInCyber discussions on public-private partnerships.

Amid increasing ransomware attacks on the private sector, the new Executive Order, and confirmation of the new National Cyber Director, all eyes are on collaboration between the public and private sectors to bolster our cyber resilience and protect our nation. Grassroots movements, like #ShareTheMicInCyber, can be an important forum to cultivate the trust that will drive public-private collaboration. Therefore, Round 4 of #ShareTheMicInCyber on October 22 2021 will focus on Public-Private Partnerships (P3s) in cyber.

We want to not only facilitate conversation about P3s, but also create the connective tissue that will strengthen them.

Public Sector (for the purposes of matching) means the federal government, state governments, non-profits, and academia.  Private Sector means for-profit companies.

We want you to use this theme as the foundation for conversations on Twitter and LinkedIn on #ShareTheMicInCyber day on October 22.  We will ask you for your thoughts on P3s--current state, how to improve them, the role of diversity in these partnerships, etc so that we can reflect them in #ShareTheMicInCyber content (social media, op-eds, or even policy papers).  We may request your participation in videos and live events too, so be ready!

We look forward to working with you on this timely issue!
